Endgame (2006) ran at the Shakespeare Santa Cruz Theatre, with actor and artistic director Paul Whitworth. I met Samuel Beckett a few times through Joe Chaikin and Ruby Cohn, and created a celebratory season of his short plays at the Leicester Haymarket Theatre. This production was my meditation on this extraordinary playwright who fascinates me with his use of silences and language.
